Composite Dental Fillings

A composite tooth-colored filling is used to repair a tooth that is affected by decay, cracks, etc. The decayed or altered portion of the tooth will be removed and then filled with a composite filling. Reasons you may need to get composite fillings include, but are not limited to:

Composite dental fillings are the better alternative to amalgam fillings for both color and esthetics, because they are bonded directly to the tooth. Complete Composite Fillings in One Appointment

Family Dental Care provides complete composite fillings all in one appointment. While the tooth is numb, Dr. Johnson will remove decay as needed and then the space will then be thoroughly cleaned and carefully prepared before the new filling is placed. The composite mixture will then be precisely placed, shaped, and polished, restoring your tooth to its original shape and function.

Because composite fillings are tooth colored, they can be carefully matched to the shade of existing teeth. They are more aesthetically suited for use in front teeth or the more visible areas of the teeth. You will be given care instructions at the conclusion of your treatment. Good oral hygiene practices, eating habits, and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your new fillings.

Everyone is professional, friendly, and competent in what they do. The dentist is experienced and keeps up with new methods and equipment. The office manager is able to answer any questions about your insurance or method of payment. If she doesn't have an immediate answer, she will contact the company while you wait or get back to you in a short time.
